Today we got the keys for the long-awaited On the Way shop!
A lot has changed in the past few months. The space we were initially planning to rent, was rented to someone else for a price higher by 100 euros. At that point, a race to find a new property began.
In this race we had help from Elina, with whom we walked 10 km in the area of Metaxourgeio, trying to find something else.
In the end, miraculously and with the help of Chara, who works in the neighbourhood bakery next to the day center, we found a property at 18 Konstantinou Palaiologou Street. We are planning to use this space for the upcoming years, and we trust God with our plans.
Our goal is to employ people who are currently living in a state of homelessness.
This space will work as a shop in the following way:
You will be able to donate functional pieces of furniture, small items, clothes in good condition, electrical appliances that are still working, favourite books, musical instruments – and we will also have brand new items available for sale!
In due course we will update you on everything.
